Hollywood controls the distribution chain, very few independent films get a theatrical release, how is that leveling the field?

And Hollywood isn't in turmoil because anyone can go shoot a film in 4k for a fraction of the cost.

Format and visual quality are irrelevant, name actors are.

Films without name actors don't get wide distribution, so until you can hire Tom Cruise and Jodie Foster for $100 a day, independents don't stand a chance.

And internet distribution is fine for giving away your project for free, but only a few people have made a decent amount of money by using it as a distribution mechanism.Jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16205919557554167018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14819309.post-46644860150889205602008-11-08T13:20:00.000-06:002008-11-08T13:20:00.000-06:00we now have a house to shoot...thanks for your hel...we now have a house to shoot...thanks for your help...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14819309.post-2174191292212799892008-11-08T13:18:00.000-06:002008-11-08T13:18:00.000-06:00yeah...this was at the American Grill I believe, d...yeah...this was at the American Grill I believe, downtown across from FedEx Forum...took all afternoon to shoot..I hope there is more to it...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14819309.post-39683415140027196572008-11-02T16:54:00.000-06:002008-11-02T16:54:00.000-06:00Thank you to all who participated in this film pro...Thank you to all who participated in this film process! Just temper your mean-spiritedness a bit. The good news is that you got some rumors out in the open that have been simmering in the scene for a while, and the objects of said rumors got a chance to respond. We're all making this shit up as we go along, and we don't always get it right. You were spot on in your criticism that we need to pay more attention to sound, for example. But if you've got something to say to somebody, like Morgan says, go say it. We've got enough troubles as zero-budget filmmakers without splitting into camps and getting beef.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18123181025835397667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14819309.post-52927577193856651412007-11-21T05:37:00.000-06:002007-11-21T05:37:00.000-06:00I feel Oliver Stone has the backing and determinat...I feel Oliver Stone has the backing and determination to move forward with a movie that would answer question in people mind about the 1968 My Lai massacre of hundreds of villagers by U.S. troops.
