"Katrina's Wake" is screening in the Indie Memphis Film Festival Sunday Oct. 15 at 2:45 as part of a shorts program. Memphian LaVita Brooks is in this 30-minute fictional story of family who seeks refuge in their attic from the rising flood waters of Hurricane Katrina. "No food. No water. No escape. And, unfortunately, no one knows they’re there."
