Rod Pitts takes Li'l Film Fest prize

LiveFromMemphis.com held its first (we hope) quarterly Li'l Film Festival Saturday at the MeDiA Co-op. The audience voted for its favorite and the winner was Rod Pitts' "Imagine." The short film starring Shantrece Williams centers around a woman cursed by her dreams. The cast also features April Hale, Learyn Wilde, Kim Skipper, Jayson Dancy, Morris Chism, and Markus Seaberry. Additional Crew includes: De'Anasi, Tenell Pitts, Nazeeh Majeed, Keenon Nikita, Leon Berry, and Cameran Michael. Rod is also director of photograpy for "Just the Two of Us," an indie by Keenon Nikita that's screening April 3 at the Malco Studio.

Sarah Fleming of LFM says: "Thanks to all who came out to support our Li'l Film Fest, and thanks again to all the filmmakers who participated - it was an excellent program with a really great turnout! Also, thanks to John Beifuss at the Commercial Appeal and to Susan Ellis at the Memphis Flyer for helping to get the word out. Our next 'theme' will be announced in April, so keep and eye out."
